The Los Angeles Rams want to try to get another ring with Matthew Stafford before he retires. What did their offseason say about those chances?
Who starts at tight end?
Terrance Ferguson was valued in the second round because he could impact a passing game immediately. The Rams have to be interested in his value. Tyler Higbee is 32 years old and has had a few significant injuries. It caused him to play in a limited variety as he came back last year. Higbee will surely start early, but how soon Ferguson takes over and how much of an impact he can have as a rookie will be fun to watch.
Will depth emerge at running back?
Kyren Williams is entering a contract year, so his usage will be interesting. The Rams drafted Blake Corum early last year and then traded up for Jarquez Hunter this year. Will either emerge and limit the chances for Williams? Or does Williams continue to hold them off?
Who starts at center?
The Rams signed Coleman Shelton after he spent a year with the Bears, and they intend to start him at center because of how familiar he is with Sean McVay and the scheme. However, Beaux Limmer was better than Shelton on tape last year, so the question is how long of a leash they are going to give the veteran.
Could Chris Paul start?
The Rams are a team that bets on players who may lack certain traits, which causes them to fall in the draft. They may have another with Chris Pau. He is a fifth-round pick, but was a tackle machine in college and is entering a linebacker room that could use his impact immediately. Can he get on the field, or do his physical limitations show?
Are they the obvious Jalen Ramsey destination?
The Rams are running back their secondary for the most part, which is a bit of a surprise at cornerback. However, Miami may still be listening to Jalen Ramsey offers and this team is sitting there with the championship window wide open. Can they really start Darius Williams and Ahkello Witherspoon again this year?
